While the HP ink is very good I'm going to go with the compatible ink cartridges. At checkout the HP 1660 printer was $32 and the combination (1 black 1 tri color)HP 60 ink cartridge was $31.75.
I decided to go to Walmart and get an inexpensive printer. I was tired of my Epson Artisan 800, expensive ink and annoying paper jams.
I hadn't checked the prices when I put them in the cart. I just wanted something that would do a cheaper, decent job for everyday use.
I also bought the ink cartridge replacements. Which means I could have gotten another printer for $.25.
Even if these eventually clog my printer I've only lost a quarter
This HP ink cartridge arrived on time and in great shape; can't beat the price.
Easy to use & install. The printer is to loud but the printing is excellent.
I seem to go through either the black or color cartridge every other month even though I do very light printing. When my workhorse HP laser jet died on me, I went with an HP desk jet. This was a big mistake. My laser cartridges used to last over a year. I guess the only thing to do is buy another laser for every day use and save the color printing when needed.
It worked fine and helped me copied a 300 page book without running out of ink. I was thankful for that.
